Feast Ice Cream
Advantages: The slab of 'flavoured' chocolate in the centre.
Disadvantages: The ice-cream is tasteless, no chocolate taste, the crumbly bits just taste like 'bits'.
What is it?
An ice cream lolly.
A chocolate ice cream lolly with a solid chocolate flavoured centre and a crisp chocolate flavour coating with biscuit pieces.
What do I think?
Personally I think the lolly doesn't taste as good as it did over 20 years ago. I remember there was so much texture when you bit into the lolly, the crumbly biscuit pieces, the crispy brittle chocolate layer and together with the ice cream you could already taste the chocolate. But I am actually eating one right now and I can't taste any of the chocolate, it is virtually tasteless, the crispy biscuit bit feel a bit soft and the coating just about still passes the crispiness...what is going on?
Ok, I reach the centre, the solid chocolate bit, this is probably the only thing that tastes good because it's a solid slab of chocolate, but I am still a bit disappointed with the ice-cream part - after all it's an ice-cream lolly, that is the most important part ! If I had just wanted some good slab of chocolate I would have just bought a chocolate bar for a much cheaper price...
This costs 80p now, it used to only cost 45p, there's a massive sign stamped on it saying that it is 'without artificial colours or preservatives' but it tastes so bland, that I'm wondering is that why it tastes like this now? During times when it is trendy to have 'no artificial colours and preservatives' only for it to taste like this? Surely, they could have done something to replace the favour...?
Really disappointed, as I hadn't had one for ages, and only bought it as it was one of the ones that are still relatively low priced in this hot sweltering weather...it's back to the Magnum...
