I don't often eat ice-cream, but with the weather warming up this weekend, my wife bought a couple of tubs as a treat. When we do eat ice cream, we tend to go for the better quality tubs rather than your value soft scoop varieties. My wife bought 2 tubs of Green and Blacks Organic Ice-cream, chocolate and this one I'm reviewing - White Chocolate & Raspberry Swirl. Each 500ml pot is packaged in the standard cardboard container, with plastic lid. (Similar to Ben & Jerry's or Haagen Daz if you are not familiar with G&B) The plastic lid is bright pink, a bit Barbie pink, but slightly darker! The main container is cream with the logos and info about the product written in sections around it. Peel of the lid and you'll see lots of slightly off white, creamy looking ice cream with a small appearance of a dark pink/red colour trying to creep through. When tasting I had a little bit of the ice-cream first and found this cold, and indulgently creamy! A great chocolatey taste which is unbelievable! A fantastic taste! I went for the raspberry bit separately too, you can see the raspberry seeds interspersed so you know it's not artificial, it has a slightly course texture, but is not at all grainy, it's almost like sorbet. It has a powerful raspberry taste, but not sharp. Each part has its own delightful flavour, when you take a mouthful of the two together they compliment each other beautifully. We have already finished this container, and I can definitely say that I will encourage my wife to buy it again, or if I get the opportunity, I will buy myself. I would not hesitate in telling friends about it too. There is one slight disappointment, which is that there is not a great supply of the raspberry swirl. At one point whilst we were scooping it we didn't see any raspberry at all, if you didn't know any different you would have thought it was just a plain flavour. The raspberry could have been a little swirlier through the tub. Normally at a cost of £3.99 you would expect a good quality ice-cream and you won't be disappointed. At the moment these are on offer at Tesco, 2 for £5.00, ahhhh - That's why the wife bought 2 then, never can resist an offer!!!
