Advantages: choclate, more chocolate

Disadvantages: over priced, not low fat friendly!

I know several people who can willingly and eagerly eat a whole 500ml tub of Haagen Daaz Belgium Chocolate ice cream in one sitting. I'm one of them, I admit. So what's the secret? Well, I would first point out that this ice cream, like most, is best when it has been allowed to defrost a little before eating. Secondly, you're paying more for this product than maybe you feel is justifiable on ice cream which makes you appreciate it all the more, if you're at all like me!
As you will have gathered from its name, this ice cream is all about chocolate. And the chocolate is good, strong, slightly bitter chocolate which you would happily eat without the ice cream element. Having said that, the ice cream itself is smooth and creamy, and the sort that just slips down your throat without any effort. It's the type of choclate ice cream that's perfect for curling up in front of a film with. However, I find that it does make you very thirsty very quickly, so have water at the ready!
Personally, I wouldn't recommend mixing this with anything else, but just scooping it straight from the tub into your mouth. The flavour is too intense in my view to blend well with others. Overall, I would advise you to stock up on this if ever you see it on special offer, and don't bother to read the calorie content-it'll only make you unhappy!
