      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Not bad and I like sweet!

I love custard and eat it rather often. I've tried loads of different offerings on the market of course over the years and love to try new one's that I haven't tried before and at 9p a packet I simply had to try it out.

      The Packet:

Oblong bright yellow packet that it is lined with foil for added freshness. In dark green writing on the front I'm told it is Morrisons 'Value' Instant Custard Powder', that it is 72g in weight, there is an at a glance nutritional chart on there and I'm told it is suitable for Vegetarians. On the back of the packet other information given includes ingredients and allergy advice is given (Contains: Milk and it is produced in a factory that uses egg, gluten, and soya ingredients), I'm given a full nutritional breakdown chart, the best before date is clearly stated, I'm told how to make the product up and contact details for Asda are given. It's a very cheap looking and obviously an economy product but it's informative enough etc.

      Me And The Custard:

Well to make this is up is very simple indeed. The powder is very fine and dusty and has a sweet smell to it and all you do is add 3/4 of boiling water to it and whisk it up (by hand is fine) and sieve if you need to. I bought this cos of the no cooking way of making it up to be honest as I'm so lazy and it appealed to my nature lol.

Opening the packet was really very easy indeed and I found the mixing up to be really easy. You need to get the measurement right and to whisk like a mad head but I managed to get a smooth and glossy, rather thick but not gloopy looking custard that looked nice, smelt like you'd expect custard to smell and all round looked great and with no lumps at all.

Taste wise well it's sweet and it's tasty. It has a hint of a milky taste to it and all round is a great product, simple to make it up and tastes really good. I like the thickness of this as it's not runny or rubbery. It is a cheap and quick option for custard and I appreciate mine to be sweet so will definitely repurchase this in the future!
