“ Manufacturer: Muller / Type: Yoghurt „
Very mischievous indeed.
I am one of those people who always needs to eat a dessert after dinner. Ok, my body doesn't necessarily need it but my mind does, I don't feel like I've fully completed a dinner until I've had a dessert and by dessert I mean something naughty, preferably with cream and chocolate and not juice a piece of fruit or cheese.
When I saw these new Muller chocolate dessert pots I knew they were just the thing I was looking for as each pot has only 99 calories which is very low for a dessert but you are still getting a lovely chocolate treat. Muller call them a, "Low fat milk chocolate dessert with sugar & sweeteners."
The dessert comes in a pot which pretty much looks like a yogurt pot with a foil lid that pulls off to reveal the chocolate inside. Then inside you are greeted with this lovely thick melted chocolate that is lovely and rich and creamy. The chocolate is quite thick and not runny in any way but is not as set as a mousse would be. In fact, I would say its quite different than a mousse as it is more like melted chocolate than a mousse that has bubbles in it. I love to get a big dollop on my spoon and then deliciously lick it, it's so lovely and tasty. The chocolate flavour is amazing and it does not taste low calorie in any way. In fact, as I am getting to the end of the pot I actually feel rather full up and satisfied and they definitely cure my dessert craving.
They are also low in fat and suitable for vegetarians. At just £2.19 for 4 they are a cheap and low calorie dessert that I recommend.
I am an absolute sucker for advertising. I can be watching tv and see an ad for kfc and immediately crave it! Which is exactly how I became addicted to these little things. I was watching tv (as you do) when the muller advert for these new desserts popped up. Rich creamy chocolate, which looked ever so smooth and seductive as the lady on tv sucked it off the spoon suggestively whilst laying in the bath tub haha! Next appears a hunky fireman to hose her down and on my next shopping trip I hunted these down to give them a go!
- The Dessert -
These come in a pack of 4, looking rather like yoghurt pots as they are a rectangular prism like shape which are purple with removable peel back lids for each pot. Each pot is 100g and is an average size amount as you get a faie few scoops out with a teaspoon!
Inside is is a really thick, creamy milk chocolate pudding, not as airy as a mouse, and thicker than a chocolate flavoured yoghurt. It's very rich and not too sweet and is suitable for vegetarians and the selling point is a pot contains only 99 cheeky calories!
- My Opinion -
Without any doubt these desserts are absolutely amazing! The desserts are heavenly mouth watering and taste even better than the advert promotes! Ever since buying them the first time I have eaten one daily (except for one week when I did a juice detox and not eating these felt like torture!) They are unbelievably moreish and I have also got my friend completely addicted to them too!
The chocolate flavour is really creamy, not as rich as galaxy in my opinion but much nicer than any cadburys and is not too sweet as to be sickly but just the right balance. By the time I am at the end of a pot it takes all my will power not to eat another one straight after!
- Overall -
I am actually not a big chocoholic, but from time to time I can get the odd craving and these are great for satisfying my sweet tooth. My only complaint is availability! I shop predominantly in Sainsburys and they don't seem to sell them and neither does my local Tesco. I usually grab a pack of 4 for £1 in Iceland which is cheap and cheerful. I first found them in Asda for the same price but clearly they cottoned on how popular they are and I last saw them at £2.18! I love them but if I know I can get them cheaper I will shop around for sure!
Anyway, needless to say I still love these regardless and muller get a fab 5 stars for these desserts! My mouth is watering just writing this review ;-)
