      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      I love them

I eat a lot of yoghurt and for the past few years I have been eating Muller Vitality. I love the taste and it is a probiotic yoghurt which is supposed to be kind to your tummy! I suffer from gastritis a lot and I try to eat a lot of probiotic if I can to help.

The vitality flavours come in usually Strawberry, Raspberry and peach and passionfruit. Because muller vitality are suposed to support the natural bacteria found in the gut, and can aid digestion. I think they taste greay! The strawberry flavour does have some lumps in (which I pick out) but it doesn't have an artificial taste to them which you can find with a lot of strawberry flavoured products.

Both prebiotic fibre and probiotics have been scientifically proven to assist the good bacteria in our digestive system. The prebiotic stimulates the growth of good bacteria whilst the probiotic (Bifidobacterium - to those of you who didn't know!) works in conjunction and helps maintain the natural balance.

You buy them in packs of 6 for £1.60. There has been a special offer on them for a long time now (50% free) so you should get 4 but currently get 6. I don't think £1.60 is a lot for that many yoghurts! The pots are 125g and small enough to take to work with you.

These are great little yoghurts, and I like to think they are helping my stomach and digestive system, so will continue to buy them!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A good after lunch/dinner snack

Muller's "Vitality" brand offers a range of products, two of which I use - the yoghurt drinks and the yoghurts themselves. The yoghurts are available in a variety of flavours such as strawberry, raspberry and cherry amongst others.

The real selling points of these products is that they contain a prebiotic fibre and probiotic. What?!? Well the theory is that inside our stomachs are a mix of good and bad bacteria and when there is an imbalance, you start to feel it through bloatedness, discomfort etc.

Now that the biology lesson is finished, do they actually taste any good?!? Personally, I love them and I think Muller have got the balance bang on with the yoghurts not being too creamy nor too thin. The flavour is fruity and refrreshing without being overly sugary as some yoghurts can.

The yoghurts are generally purchased in packs of four for around £1.25, although there are usually supermarket discounts available on these and the drinks. The pots are 125g in size and are easy to fit in lunchboxes.

A word of warning is that the sugar content is a little high (13.6g per 100g) although each pot contains 50% of your RDA for prebiotic fibre.

I can't recommend these things enough although I'd be lying if I said I never get a bloated stomach any more. Perhaps the last word should go to friend of the Gurkhas and new Muller spokesperson Joanna Lumley - "I benefit from the probiotic yogurt with the prebiotic difference." Amen to that sister!

      Would highly recommend a try

      OVERVIEW
I have recently found a really delicious yogurt that originates from the Muller dairy in Shropshire. This yoghurt is called 'Vitality'and is a perfect snack whether for breakfast, in your lunch box or after dinner. As well as having an awesome creamy taste, the product is low in fat and helps with digestion as part of a balanced diet.

      THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE TASTE
Muller heavily advertises the fact that the Vitality range contains both Prebiotic fibres and Probiotics which have a number of health benefits... but what does this mean?

According to Muller, we all have a community of bacteria living inside our digestive systems of which some are good and some are bad. If the proportion of these bacteria gets out of balance you can start to feel bloated and uncomfortable.

The Prebiotic fibre found in Vitality work closely with the digestive system and encourages the growth of good bacteria. A Probiotic called Bifidobacterium is also contained within the product and works together with the Prebiotic fibre to help maintain a natural digestive balance.

Each Vitality yoghurt contains 2.5g of Prebiotic fibre per pot. Prebiotic fibres are found naturally in onions, bananas, chicory and artichokes and the one used in Vitality is harvested from chicory root.

      PACK SIZE
Muller Vitality is available in a 4 x 125g pots in the following great tasting flavours: Peach and Passion fruit, Cherry, Raspberry and my favourite, Strawberry. This range of yoghurts are suitable for vegetarians and Coeliacs with no more than 0.002% (20 parts per million) of gluten.

For those who are always on the go Vitality comes in a handy drink available in a range of flavours that contain the same health benefits as the yogurts.

      VERDICT
At approximately £1.60 per pack of four yogurts, this product is excellent. It tastes really good and helps your body as part of a balanced diet. I pack a Muller Vitality yogurt as part of my lunch box everyday! I love all of the flavours which is good as I end up buying a different flavour each week so that I don't suffer from lunch box boredom.
