“ Type: Yoghurts „
I was recently given some Munch Bunch Fromage Frais by a friend who didn't like them and wanted rid of them. Admittedly fromage frais is a little odd as presents go, but I was happy to receive them. It had been years and years since I'd tried any as I long ago graduated to 'adult' yoghurts!
These fromage frais are obviously aimed at children, from the tiny little pots they come in, to the pictures of cartoon hippos on the front, to the names of the yoghurt which are based on the characters accompanying them (Rozzy Raspberry, Sally Strawberry and Andy Apricot).
The fromage frais taste absolutely lovely. I was surprised how nice they are. They are like a really, really thick yoghurt, almost like a frozen yoghurt or a milkshake. The taste is fruity and sweet but not overwhelmingly so. They have a very milky, creamy taste too. Eating one felt like way more of a treat than a normal yoghurt!
Unfortunately the size of the pots is not very good for adults as each one contains only 42 grams (many adult yoghurts can contain around 200 grams or at least 100 grams). However the benefit of this is that each pot only contains 44 calories, 1.3 grams of fat and 5.3 grams of sugar. All these values are fine except for the sugar which is a little high. Fortunately though there are no artificial colours.
These yoghurts are ideal for kids and for lunchboxes, and OK for an indulgent snack for adults too, but you will wish they were three times the size!
This pack of six yoghurts costs £1.58, however the packs are currently on offer at Asda for 3 for £3, which is an excellent saving and if you are a fan I recommend you take full advantage of this as it will save you £1.74!
