Rachel's Vanilla Yoghurt is no exception. A cursory glance at the nutritional table reveals that it is made up of a not-very-healthy 13% sugar. With its autographed stencilled pot to give it the 'personal touch' (as if you can be on first name terms with yoghurt anyway), Rachel's Organic Low Fat range is one of those products that quite smugly markets itself in the 'reassuringly expensive' bracket, normally retailing near the £2 mark and crammed at eye-level above all the safe, boring unflavoured yoghurt further down that is almost certainly much better for you. One thing I really do enjoy is yogurt though to be honest I stick to Yeo Valley ones most of the time as I just love it and it is made locally to where I live! However the other day I spotted this Rachel's one reduced from £1.65 to 45p in my local Tesco store and I bought it thinking it was a plain yogurt and later that evening mixed it up with mint to make minty yogurt to go with an Indian meal I cooked! I can't tell you how sick we all felt dipping our nan breads and dipping poppadums in this...its vanilla!
