“ Brand: Rowan Glen / Type: Yoghurts „
I first discovered these yogurts when I went for a long weekend to a hotel at loch lomond. The breakfasts at the hotel were to die for, lots a really lovely but very fattening. So one morning I felt like something a little lighter so opted for some lovely fresh fruit smothered in a strawberry rowan glen low fat bio yogurt.
I was surprised to say the least when the low fat bio yogurt turned out to be one of the yummiest, creamiest low fat yogurts in the world! There were chunks of strawberries in the yogurt and it is made from the "freshest Scottish milk" according to the pot.
Now when I say low fat, we are not talking low fat as in muller light yogurts that are virtually fat free but lets face it they do taste quite artificial. Low fat by Rowan Glen standards means that the nutritional information per 100 grams is :
Energy 100 calories/425 kilojoules
The individual tubs are 125 grams each so just over 2grams of fat in each pot but it is worth it. You feel like you have had a little treat for the day and it is so much tastier than other low fat varieties. If you want a low fat yogurt but don't mind having a few fat grams then give this yogurt a try.
The individual tubes are about 35p in tesco but the price seems to change all the time and I have seen them as low as 20p each. You can also buy them in packs of 4 and at the moment these are for sale in tesco for £1.07.
Rowan glen produces several yogurt types including:
Low Fat Fruited
Low Fat Natural
Luxury Rich and Creamy
Organic Bio Yogurts
Fat-Free Probiotic Yogurts
Rowan glen produces several dairy products including butters, cheeses and yogurts. I have also tried their butter and this is also delicious.
