Advantages: They are cheap
Disadvantages: There are none
I do all my shopping in Sainsburys and as my other reviews show, I am happy to buy from the Basics range, not all things but 80%.
I have bought other chocolate mousse versions before, including the highly expensive Cadburys version. Admittedly it was nice but for a cheaper version I decided to give Basics a run for its money.
25p for four average sized pots, brown plastic bottoms with the usual white and orange Basics lids. Nothing to write home about but as I have said before, its not the packaging that makes me buy a product, its the food stuff inside. I opened one pot and it was filled almost to the brim, which makes a change, no inch free at the top. The texture was light and fluffy and it was a nice brown shade.
The taste was remarkably good, not overly sweet, not bitter or with any aftertaste. In fact for little over 6p per pot I was very much impressed. I believe these have now gone up to 35p but they are still more than worth their price. I would recommend these to anyone, both my children love them and cant tell the difference between these and a more expensive version.
Summary: Well worth buying
