      **Introduction**

For my next review I decided to do a review on ice cream and having looked at the list of ice creams on the dooyoo database I chose this one as I have been impressed with many of the sainsbury's own products which are cheaper versions of similar products from the big brands. This particular ice cream is a cheaper version of Haagen Dazs. This particular ice cream is Sainsbury's Toffee and Vanilla ice cream which is one variety in a range that also includes Strawberry and Cream and Triple Chocolate Ice Cream as well.

**Sainsbury's Toffee and Vanilla ice cream**

This Ice Cream is basically normal Vanilla ice cream with a bit of Toffee mixed in with toffee sauce and then topped off with the caramel fudge pieces. I Suppose this is pretty similar in concept to Ben & Jerry's Caramel Chew Chew which is usually available at a whopping £3.99 for a tub half the size as this particular Ice Cream. Now how does the Sainsbury's ice cream fare?. Well pretty well actually. The vanilla is really creamy and the toffee sauce is a nice addition and leads up to the caramel fudge pieces well. As for the fudge pieces they are delicious and are a real plus for this ice cream.

      **Price and Availability**

As I mentioned in the introduction, I have always been pretty pleased with Sainsbury's own products and in particular with their ice cream products as they provide a near big brand product for a lot less money. These particular tubs of ice cream are on offer at the moment. You can pick up two one litre tubs for just £3 which is a marvellous bargain considering some of the prices for a tub half the size when they are not on offer. If you are in your local Sainsbury's looking for some Hagen Dasz or some Ben & Jerry's and they are not on offer I would recommend you try this one as you will probably like that taste. This typically has eight servings and each serving is around 136 calories so you are looking at quite a small serving for the calorie content to be that low.

      **Overall**

I am very impressed with this product and It will encourage me to try the other flavours in the Sainsbury's "Indulgence" range in the future. The one I am most looking forward to trying in the range is the Strawberry and Cream one which sounds divine. I will probably be reviewing that at a later date so look out for that. Summing up this Sainsbury's Indulgence Toffee and Vanilla ice cream is a very well priced pudding treat.
