But I did like the fact that the box displayed how many calories, fat etc. the product contained as it lets you know exactly what's contained within the product. As far as the taste is concerned, I've got to say it is pretty pleasent. It's made up of an almond flavoured sponge with a layer of raspberry jam, all topped with a thin layer of icing. I'm not normally a big fan of deserts & only have them as an occasional treat. Bakewell tart however has to be one of my favourites so when I saw this item in my local Tesco's, temptation got the better of me. Available for under £1.00 it was great value so I didn't have much to loose. We only now bakewell tart isn't going to be the healthiest thing available in the world. I absolutely love bakewell tart and when I saw this costing a mere 98p in my local Tesco store I simply had to try it out it simply called me lol. I recently had tried another one and was left a little disappointed by it so was desperate for the mighty bakewell to redeem itself to me and be as good as I think I should be! The Packaging: Dark red box and on the front of it there is a photograph of the bakewell tart.
