I occasionally buy this Tesco Raspberry sponge cake. I quite like the packaging and its suits the sort of cake this is. The box is basically a dark pink colour with a picture of the cake on the front showing a slice having been taken out, You can see the dusting of icing sugar on top of the cake but what looks most appealing is the filling in the middle. It shows a thick butter cream centre with Raspberry jam. There are also a couple of Raspberries besides the cake.

It states that there are 6 servings with this cake. To be honest I would say its more like 4. It isn't a large cake but priced at only a £1.00 its good value. I would suggest that even if it doesn't serve 6 that 4 large slices for only £0.25p each is great value. This cake tastes pretty good actually. The sponge is light and quite moist and the butter cream and Raspberry jam filling is good. I wouldn't say it's an amazing tasting cake but its pleasant.

This is a nice tasting light cake from Tesco; its good value for money and goes well with a nice cup of Tea! Overall, deserving of 4 stars from me.
