“ Brand: Wall's / Type: Ice Cream „
This is a new weird and wonderful ice cream treat only for adults in my opinion.
This has a disc of chocolate on the top that has cruncy bits set in it. Under that you have the delicious vanilla ice cream with a magic toffee centre that runs all the way down the cone in the middle of the ice cream. This is surrounded by a cruncy cone like the other cornettos with a smeer of chocolate around the inside and a big chunk of chocolate right in the bottom of the cone.
The taste test was the best experiance that I have ever had. I started by eating the disc on the top. The chocolate was smooth and very tasty and the cruncy bits really made it more enjoyable.
Then the taste test of the ice cream was amazing, this was really creamy and tasted much better than the ice cream on the other cornettos that I have tried.
The cone is the next taste test, it is cruncy and plain but it needs to be because of all the nice ice cream and toffee that is already there anything else added and it would be spoilt.
Last but definately not least is the toffee flavoured centre, this is like the heart of the ice cream and this is what makes it an adult only pleasure, children could not possibly enjoy the texture and flavour of this centre. This really makes the ice cream special and definately worth eating.
These were bought by my mother in law for a £1 for 4 on a special deal this have gone up now to over £2 a pack but are still worth the price as long as they are eaten for a pleasure occasionally and not as a snack everyday.
I think these are the best adult ice cream I have ever eaten. I would advise anyone with a sweet tooth to give these a try but dont over indulge they could make you feel very sickly. The price is a bit high for 4 but they are a brand name and delicious so I would and do pay the price for these, it works out around 60p per ice cream so it is not that bad. They are definately a luxuary ice cream and was thoroughly enjoyed by me.
I bought these because they were on a half price offer at Morrisons, making them £1.50 for a box of 6, and they looked interesting form the picture on the box.
To be honest when I opened the box I was quite disappointed at the size of the ice-creams, as they're a fair bit smaller than any cones I've had previously, but I figured this is probably because they're a 'luxury' ice-cream, so what they lack in size they should make up for in taste.
They have a thick disc of chocolate on top, sprinkled with chopped cashew nuts. This chocolate is really smooth and creamy, and it tastes lovely and rich, not like the sugary milky chocolate you often get on ice-creams. You can't actually bite into the ice-cream as the disc just comes off the top, so you can't even really get a mouthful of ice-cream with the chocolate, so I end up just taking it off to start with and then eating the ice-cream afterwards.
Under the disc is the vanilla ice-cream, which is luxuriously creamy and not too sweet. The ice-cream then has sweet caramel running through the centre to about half way down the cone. The cone itself is very crunchy and tastes just right and not too sweet. And finally in the bottom of the cone is some more of the same chocolate that's on the top of the ice-cream.
The overall taste is very nice and the combination of flavours works well. The ice-cream holds together well and doesn't melt quickly so you have time to savour the flavour. I find that these do satisfy my sweet tooth and my appetite, and I'm not left feeling like I need another one when I've finished.
Each cone gives you 200 calories, 17g of sugar, and 11g of fat (8g of which is saturates), so it is quite an unhealthy snack, but is still fairly good in comparison to a lot of other sweet treats. I would definitely buy them again to enjoy as an occasional treat.
