A good little treat on a hot day.

These iced lollies are a welcome addition to my freezer on a baking hot day. Good for a quick, cold treat for adults or children it's a snack that's ready whenever you are. It's a Walls branded product (owned by Unilever) so you know you are going to get decent quality. There are 8 mini twisters in the pack and they come in two flavours which mix the smoothness of ice-cream with the zestiness of real fruit juice: Pineapple ice cream with strawberry-lemon fruit ice and lemon fruit ice with lemon lime flavour. These delicious tangy/creamy flavours mix it up in your mouth and are wonderfully refreshing. There is a total of 312g of product in the recyclable box. These individually wrapped, mini-mouthfuls are just 45 calories per twister, 1g of fat per twister, of which 0.8g saturates, 9g carbohydrates of which sugars 7g and negligible amounts of protein and salt. The ingredients are; water, sugar reconstituted skimmed milk, glucose syrup, lemon juice, strawberry juice, fructose syrup, stabilizers, flavourings, citric-acid, emulsifier, elderberry juice concentrate, beetroot juice concentrate, colour, spinach extract. There are no artificial colours or flavours in the product. The product must be stored at minus 18 degrees. These lollies are a pleasure to look at. They are a work of art in themselves. These mini ones are smaller than the full size ones - I guess that goes without saying - but they are still attractive to look at with their swirling colours as the two different flavours form a corkscrew pattern which is interesting to look at as well as giving the lolly texture. If the kids are short of entertainment whilst they are eating this lolly - they could always go to www.max-adventures.com where the happy lion brandishing his twister on the front of the box has lots of games lined up to play. I had a go in the Ice Temple but something called the 'shadow master' got the better of me. I'm not very dexterous at the old up and down arrow buttons on the keyboard. I managed to eat a lolly though. Very nice. Currently (18/07/13) £2 per box or 2 for £3 at Asda. Would recommend.

A super little ice/ice cream lolly; full of delicious flavours.

I have done a separate review about the large sixe Twister but a few months ago I spotted these Mini Twister in Asda. They were on a special offer at 2 packs of 8 for only £3.00! This is such a real bargain that I had to buy them. In fact I have continued buying them for about 2 or 3 months now. The offer has been on for ages. It may even still be on! I really like these mini Twisters. They are actually easier to eat than the larger version; obviously they don't last as long, but they are just as delicious and ideal for anyone who is dieting. Also ideal for kids! They only have a tiny 45kcals per Twister. These packs of Mini Twister have 4 Pineapple ice cream with Strawberry lemon fruit ice and 4 lemon fruit ice with a lemon/lime flavour. Whoever created these deserves a medal. These little ice/ice cream lollies are oozing with flavour. Whenever I ask the kids which one do they want.... Green or pink, their answer varies. Basically they both almost seem like the same flavour but inside out! Personally I think I prefer the lemon/lime flavour ones, but they are both very Moorish. I don't feel bad if I have 2 of these in a row due to their low calorie content. The kids love them and now at last we have some hot weather, these are ideal! Ingredients Water, Sugar, Reconstituted skimmed Milk, Glucose syrup, Lemon Juice, Strawberry juice, Fructose syrup, Pineapple juice, Vegetable fat, Whey solids, Glucose fructose syrup, Stabilisers (locust bean gum, guar gum, pectin, carragennian), Flavourings, (citric acid, emulsifier (mono and diglycerides of fatty acids), Elderberry juice concentrates, Beetroot juice concentrate, Beetroot juice concentrate, Spinach extract, Colour (curcumin) I will be going up to Asda again to see if Twisters are still on special offer as they don't last long in my household! Highly recommend and worthy of 5 Dooyoo stars in my view.

Really refreshing change, great fruity flavour.

Walls 8 Mini Twister Ice Lollies. I recently went into Sainsbury,s Supermarket with my little grandchildren, yes I know its hardly summer but they really fancied some ice lollies.I let them choose and they decided to choose these particular lollies. After their tea we decided to get some lollies out, I guess that I was happy to purchase these lollies because they are without artificial colouring and flavouring, and as these tend to hype the grandchildren up thought these would be suitable for them. They come in a carboard box, there are eight ice lollies in total inside, each one is individually rapped in a clear plastic wrapping, which is recyclable. There are two different flavours in this box, lemon and pineapple and which is twisted around a delicious strawberry centre, and pineapple and strawberry with a lime centre. I did try one myself, and the outside coating is delicious and creamy with a really great fruity taste, guess that it because they use real fruit juice when creating this product. Calories : 45 Sugars : 7g Fat : 1g Saturates:0.8grams salt : 0.03g. These are made by the well known and best trusted company WALLS. They have a long sell by date on the side of the box. Provides 2percent of your g.d.a,s based on a calorie controlled diet of 2000 kcals. I really enjoyed these lollies they were fresh and reminded me of all those lovely summer days to follow, they are so refreshing and make a lovely change to desert for my lovely grandchildren, after a meal. The center is my favourite bit as it was so fruity and really reminded me of those strawberry and cream days. The lime has a real zing to it, and the white creamy outer coating was thick and creamy, all in all a really refreshing product that I shall be happy to purchase again. \My grandchildren really enjoyed them and because they are not too large they eat them quite quickly, hence i didnt really see any drips around my house. tHANKS FOR READING AND RATING MY REVIEWS.

Wall's Mini Twister - tasty twists of ice cream and fruit ice.

Wall's Mini Twister ice lollies are fantastic and the ideal size for a child, although I personally love them too. They are really refreshing and I am looking forward to eating them on a hot summer's day (well I can dream, can't I!) Wall's Mini Twister lollies come individually wrapped in cardboard packaging which is decorated in bright, summery colours, with close-up shots of the lollies and the fruit contained inside them. There are two flavours in the box that I buy, which are pineapple ice cream with strawberry fruit ice and pineapple ice cream with lemon/lime fruit ice. My favourite is the one with the strawberry fruit ice and the pineapple ice cream wrapped into the twist. Inside it has a solid cylinder of lemon/lime fruit ice. The strawberry ice is sweet and full of flavour and the ice cream is smooth, sweet and fresh. The lemon/lime cylinder of ice is also very tasty and has a sharp, tangy flavour to it. I love the combination of the soft, smooth ice cream and the crunchy, heavier textured fruit ice. The only thing I do not notice is the pineapple flavour, which is either very subtle or drowned out by the other stronger flavours. Wall's Mini Twister lollies make an excellent treat and at only 45 calories per lolly, you don't have to feel guilty about eating one. They are also free from artificial colours and flavours and are made with real fruit juice. I bought my box of eight in Tesco for £1.76. They are also for sale at the same price in Asda, but you can purchase 2 boxes for £3 at the moment. If you are looking for some lovely ice lollies for the kids or are trying to keep your calorie intake down, then Mini Twisters are ideal. I would be more than happy to recommend them and think they are worthy of 5 stars.

DELICIOUS! I dont think I'd buy the full size ones anymore these are just ideal!!

What an ideal product- a simple ideal but superb all the same! A box of 8 mini lollies contain 4 pineapple flavour ice cream with strawberry lemon fruit ice and 4 lemon flavour fruit ice with a lemon and lime flavour. They are simply a mini version of the full size product so you still get that delicious combination of a thirst quenching ice lolly and creamy tasty ice cream and they satisfy just the same as the full sized product, making them ideal for kids and with only 45 kcals and 0.8 saturated fat, ideal for those on a health kick too! (only 1 weight watcher point). They do not contain any artificail colours or flavours and they even contain fruit juice! Although fully recyclable, the packaging is not the most interesting box on the market but personally I feel its whats inside that counts. There is however a quirky little story on the back about where the inspiration for the twister lolly came from!-Worth a read! These yummy treats cost £1.89 for a box and as they are a frozen product they have a lengthy shelf life of approx 2 years! Definitely recommend all year round!

              .

Seing as it is such a sunny day, I thought I would review this while sitting in my garden in the sunshine after eating one of these. Perfect Ice Cream weather today. I'm still on my diet. I've lost 1 stone and 9lb so far, and I kind of miss the spontanious treats that you would grab on said sunny day. Diet foodhas come a long way in the last few years, so I can still enjoy thing like this. You buy these in a box of 8, and I paid £1.99 for them. Asda is selling 2 for £3 on a large variety of Ice Cream, so a little saving to be had. These are made by Walls. You get these in full sized Ice Cream lollies as well, but I think it is just the fruit flavoured ones in the full size, as I had the Chocolate one - yummy. Yes, the Ice Cream is relatively small, but they only have 40 calories per Ice Cream, so I wasn't expecting something huge. It was just the right size so that I could have something sweet and not feel like I was missing out along with everyone else. The Ice Cream is 2 kinds all twisted together. It is Chocolate and Vanilla. You see by the colouring where the Ice Cream twists around the stick, and the Rich Chocolate mixed with the Sweet Creamy Vanilla is a great combination. The Ice Cream is wrapped individually in see through wrappers and in a sturdy cardboard box. The packaging isn't too exciting, just a creamy coloured box, with the Logo on the front and a picture of the Ice Cream. This Ice Cream is quite soft, so it isn't really hard when you first take it out the freezer. I like it when it is softer, as I think you taste the creaminess more. This is just sweet enough and I think it tastes like it has more than 40 calories. A great little Ice Cream, especially if you are trying to watch your weight.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

Great ice cream for young and old!

My son loves these. I can't imagine there are many 5 year olds that don't like ice cream in general, and Twisters are very clever, twisting ice cream with fruit flavoured ice in a nice combination of flavours, textures and colours that make them appealing to kids and adults alike. We bought a box of 8 of the mini Twisters last week for around the £1.50 mark. I'm not sure if this is the usual price or if they were on offer, but this works out at just under 20p per Twister. There are two different flavours, although the flavours are the same in both, just in a different order. One is pineapple ice cream and lemon-lime ice which are individually twisted around the centre tube of strawberry ice. The other combo is the strawberry and lemon-lime ice switched around. My son prefers the lemon-lime on the outside as he likes the red in the middle. They bnoast zingy flavours as they're made with real fruit juice, and while this is true of the flavour, it's not too noticeable as to put you off. Unlike a lot of ice creams, these don't melt as quickly once they're out of the freezer and out of their packaging. It makes them easier to eat and in a less hurried manner as well. I like ice cream, but I find that a lot of them you need to eat in double quick time or they'll melt too quickly and make a mess. I haven't yet had one of these melt on me. They're on wooden sticks that make them easy to hold, too. One other bonus for us is that there are no artificial flavours or colours in them. My son has, sadly, inherited my hyperactive reaction to these, and so we aim to give him as few as possible. These Twisters are ideal, as not only do they not contain artificial flavours and colours, but they are mini, which gives him the impression he's having a whole ice cream, whereas in fact he's just having half of one, and is still just as content. Each mini Twister will give you 45 calories. The Twisters are made by Walls, so you pretty much know you're going to get quality with them. The rest is down to personal preference and opinion, and in ours, these are a thumbs up. My son likes them, I like them, and I've just found out that my wife likes them, too, as she's eaten the last one wqithout telling me! Doh!

                  Great treat

Whenever we were allowed an ice cream on holiday when I was little, me and my Brother both always chose a Twister! Now re discovering that they sell Mini Twisters I had to buy them. They are so fruity and refreshing and just the right size even for an adult. Again, as with most of the Walls variety ice's now, these are free from artificial colours and flavours, which is always a bonus! I was surprised to read on the box that each Mini Twister contains only 46 calories. There is 6.9g of sugar and 1g of fat of which saturates is 0.9g. They do not have any artificial flavouring and colouring, which is another bonus. I buy these from Tesco they currently sell at £1.61 for an 8 pack, but are occassionaly on offer for a bit cheaper. They are great for the whole family, I don't mind giving my Daughter these as a treat.

                  Disadvantages

A delicious miniature of the old classic.

Ok, so I know the weather hasn't been particularly nice the last week, but I'm afraid my kids have developed a taste for ice lollies, so here comes another lolly review!! The product I will now review are "mini twisters". ~~~~~~ THE PACKAGING ~~~~~~ The box is rectangular in shape slightly larger than most of the other boxes in the freezer at my local Asda store, hence the reason my son picked them! There is a picture of one of the afore mentioned lollies springing across the box at an angle with pieces of fruit seemingly bursting out of it, this is to highlight the fact that these lollies now have added fruit juice, there are juicy, tangy lime wedges and succulent, vivid red strawberries, all very appealing to the eye. The rest of the background colour is a mixture of subtle citrus colours that seem to bring the box alive. Across the middle is the name of the product "mini twister", with the "I" part of the text actually a lolly, just in case you weren't sure what they looked like!! ~~~~~~ THE CONTENTS ~~~~~~ The box contains eight miniature versions of the original twister lolly, perfect for little hands to hold, they all come in there own plastic see through packet. As you un wrap one, or in my case two, you can't let one have one without the other! You notice that there are two different colour combinations enclosed, there is one with a central cylinder shaped barrel of ice, green in colour with a twist of ice-cream surrounding it, changing from blush pink to pale yellow as it snakes around the lolly and the second just has the colours the other way around, pink in the centre and green and yellow twisting around the outside. The box reliable informs me that they are "pineapple ice-cream with strawberry fruit ice and lemon fruit ice with a lemon and lime flavour". ~~~~~~ THE TASTE ~~~~~~ The taste is delicious, creamy and soft, with the fruit flavours bursting through. The one flavour that I cannot recognise though, even though I have read that it is one of the main flavours is the pineapple, I can only assume the reason for that is that it is a subtle flavour, adding a background depth to the lolly. ~~~~~~ NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION ~~~~~~ Again, as with most of the Walls variety ice's now, these are free from artificial colours and flavours, which is always a bonus! Each mini twister contains - 46 calories 6.9g of sugar 1g of fat of which saturates 0.9g That makes these 1 weight watchers point each. (For the weight watchers out there!) ~~~~~~ PRICE AND AVAILABILITY ~~~~~~ These were purchased as part of an ongoing offer at my local Asda, 2 boxes for £3.00, bargain! They retail singularly for around £1.77 a box. ~~~~~~ CONCLUSION ~~~~~~ These are a lovely little treat, for my kids and me (did I mention they were only 1 w.w point each!!) Again these take me back to my youth, as these were one of the lollies you could get from the local ice cream man, highly recommended! For more information on these and other products visit - www.IceHot.com Thanks for reading x
