Wall's Mini Twister

Advantages: Slightly smaller to fit in kids hands.
Disadvantages: None!
Ok, so I know the weather hasn't been particularly nice the last week, but I'm afraid my kids have developed a taste for ice lollies, so here comes another lolly review!!
The product I will now review are "mini twisters".
~~~~~~ THE PACKAGING ~~~~~~
The box is rectangular in shape slightly larger than most of the other boxes in the freezer at my local Asda store, hence the reason my son picked them!
There is a picture of one of the afore mentioned lollies springing across the box at an angle with pieces of fruit seemingly bursting out of it, this is to highlight the fact that these lollies now have added fruit juice, there are juicy, tangy lime wedges and succulent, vivid red strawberries, all very appealing to the eye.
The rest of the background colour is a mixture of subtle citrus colours that seem to bring the box alive.
Across the middle is the name of the product "mini twister", with the "I" part of the text actually a lolly, just in case you weren't sure what they looked like!!
~~~~~~ THE CONTENTS ~~~~~~
The box contains eight miniature versions of the original twister lolly, perfect for little hands to hold, they all come in there own plastic see through packet.
As you un wrap one, or in my case two, you can't let one have one without the other! You notice that there are two different colour combinations enclosed, there is one with a central cylinder shaped barrel of ice, green in colour with a twist of ice-cream surrounding it, changing from blush pink to pale yellow as it snakes around the lolly and the second just has the colours the other way around, pink in the centre and green and yellow twisting around the outside.
The box reliable informs me that they are "pineapple ice-cream with strawberry fruit ice and lemon fruit ice with a lemon and lime flavour".
~~~~~~ THE TASTE ~~~~~~
The taste is delicious, creamy and soft, with the fruit flavours bursting through. The one flavour that I cannot recognise though, even though I have read that it is one of the main flavours is the pineapple, I can only assume the reason for that is that it is a subtle flavour, adding a background depth to the lolly.
~~~~~~ NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION ~~~~~~
Again, as with most of the Walls variety ice's now, these are free from artificial colours and flavours, which is always a bonus!
Each mini twister contains - 46 calories
6.9g of sugar
1g of fat of which saturates 0.9g
That makes these 1 weight watchers point each. (For the weight watchers out there!)
~~~~~~ PRICE AND AVAILABILITY ~~~~~~
These were purchased as part of an ongoing offer at my local Asda, 2 boxes for £3.00, bargain!
They retail singularly for around £1.77 a box.
~~~~~~ CONCLUSION ~~~~~~
These are a lovely little treat, for my kids and me (did I mention they were only 1 w.w point each!!) Again these take me back to my youth, as these were one of the lollies you could get from the local ice cream man, highly recommended!
