... Cornetto: Perhaps the only Ice cream I actually really enjoy from Unilever-Walls and possibly because they were traditionally an Ice Cream manufacturer, rival force to be reckoned with? - Their Cornettos are intensely soft once defrosted and have the same beautiful quality as the Whippy 99, so are not meant to be eaten when they have just been taken out of the freezer as some people make that mistake. Made with care and love, Unliver-Walls delivers a weight-watcher treat that although is packed with all the usual sugars and...more

Wall's Strawberry Cornetto: Fattening but nice. (285 words)

The Cornetto strawberry is a delicious, very sweet, though very fattening coned ice cream. The packaging is a foil envelope that covers the cone and looks incredibly posh and expensive, even though these things can be picked up pretty cheap. A delicacy among the working class, the strawberry cornetto is a lovely, thick and crispy waffle coned, chocolate interred vanilla ice cream with delicious cool hazelnuts on the top of it and a big dome of really posh, really sweet tasty ice cream surrounded by strawberry fondant. Although it's incredibly bad for you, there are few ice creams that taste better, and it works really well as a nice cool snack, or ...  Read the complete review

Just One Cornetto - And Then A Fist Fight For The Spare! (426 words)

Spica, an Italian ice-cream manufacturer first registered Cornetto in 1960, when they brought their ready-made ice-cream cones to the market. Unfortunately for them, they did not sell very well and in 1976, Unilever bought Cornetto from them, turning it into the well known, very popular brand we know today. I love all the Cornetto varieties, but my favourites would have to be mint or strawberry. With 5 in our family, I always buy the family pack, which contains 6 cones. The outer box is made of strong cardboard, which stop the cones getting crushed. It is decorated in mainly blue and red and has a close-up shot of a strawberry Cornetto on the ...  Read the complete review

Wall's Strawberry Cornetto: The best ice cream around (288 words)

Strawberry Cornettos are my favourite ice cream and have been for as long as I can remember. My nan used to eat them all the time in the summer which is probably the reason why I began to like them so much as she always had a pack of them whenever I went round her house. They're made from a crispy baked wafer cone which is coated all over the inside with a chocolate flavour layer. The wafer is then filled with vanilla flavour ice cream and strawberry fruit ice and is topped off with strawberry sauce. The wafer is really crispy, thick and tasty and this, with the rich chocolate layer inside, is the best part of the entire ice cream for me. I'm not ...  Read the complete review

Anything the Italians do, no one can do better in terms of cars and Ice-Creams (as is claimed) not my personal opinion, for reasons I am not really all that smart to answer, though I was quite shocked to learn that Cornettos have only been around in the world just fifty years, that to a teenager will be a life-time, but to those of my generation in their thirties, is no time at all. My first encounter with any type of Cornetto was sometime in the Thatcher years, though some years on, I had my first ever Cornetto since 1982 and nothing could prepare me for the initial memories that came flooding back! - Wall's haven't altered their taste in Cornetto if this was ...  Read the complete review
