“ Brand: Walls / Type: Ice Cream „
I absolutely love calipo mini ice lollies. They retail at anything between about £1.79 to £2.00 and come in a box with lemon and lime flavour and orange. Considering a normal size individual calipo is priced at about 80 pence, I think these are extremely well priced. The six lollies included in the box are the perfect size if you want something quick and refreshing.
The lollies are about 3/4 of the size of a normal calipo ice lolly-so they are the perfect size for children to enjoy as a snack in the hot weather. They taste fantastic with a strong fruit taste. I especially like the lemon and lime flavour as they are more zingy and tasty than the normal calipo ice lollies.
Calipo lollies are my favourite lollies because they are so convenient. Unlike a lot of lollies they are packages in a cardboard wrapper-which holds all the juice in, and gives you a little longer to eat it before it melts.
My favourite part of the lolly is the end bit, when you have eaten all the ice, and are left with this delicious fruity syrup.
Me and my husband love mini calippos.
A box of these costs £1.85 and for that you get 6 mini calippos. 3 orange and 3 lemon & lime.
These little ice lollies are so tasty and really great for hot summer days. I prefer the lemon and lime ones, as they are a bit tangier but both flavours are really nice.
I think £1.85 for 6 ice lollies is a bit expensive but last year in the summer these were on offer a lot at 2 boxes for £3.00 so we stocked up on them.
The packaging is exactly the same as a regular sized calippo, with the cardboard sleeve and a foil top.
I didn't look too closely at the ingredients, but I think they claim that they are made with real fruit flavours instead of additives, which is unlike quite a few other ice lollies which are packed with e numbers and preservatives.
The great thing about these calippos is that they keep their flavour, even when you are at the bottom of the ice lolly it's still just as tasty as the top. The flavours are also really strong, some ice lollies I have tried, have a hint of flavour but nothing special, where as these really have a tang to them.
I don't think them being mini makes a huge amount of difference, it just means we can get more in the freezer, which can only be a good thing.
A great summer treat.
