Advantages: Delish; Mega creamy; Luxury ice cream at a cheap price
Disadvantages: Still gives you brain freeze if you eat it too quick! lol
In Birmingham we've had an itsy bitsy bit of snow yesterday and now it's settled into sheet ice, the temperature in the car said it was zero and it feels like I've been transported to Russia. So you might think I'm a bit of a knob buying and eating (and reviewing!!!) a new ice cream that I found in Tesco yesterday.
I love creamy ice cream and when I saw this new Walls ice cream had EVEN MORE CREAM in it I had to get it even though it's deffo not the weather for a bowl of ice cream! lol
It's delish, one of the best ice creams I've EVER eaten. It's plain vanilla flavoured but you can taste the cream in it dead strong, it not only tastes mega creamy but has a proper creamy texture too. Each spoon of ice cream melts gorgeous in my mouth, it's quite a soft ice cream so melts a bit quicker than the harder ice creams anyway.
The colour of it is gorgeous. It's quite a strong yellow colour and as soon as I opened the plastic tub I could smell the cream in it as well as a very natural vanilla smell. The taste of the ice cream is a wicked mix of vanilla and cream, it's very sweet but I didn't think it was sickly or over powering at all.
You don't need to eat loads of this ice cream to satisfy you and I think that's because of how rich, creamy and sweet it is. I'm not greedy with ice cream because I'm just not that mad for such cold food, but sometimes with other brands I feel like I have to have a biggish bowl to get a proepr ice cream kick. With this one I had the smallest bowl ever, smaller even than my 2 year old sister would usually have but I still felt like I'd eaten loads. It's actually filling too and that's proper unusual for ice cream because you normally eat that for the taste and not to stop you feeling hungry!!!
I paid about £1.49 for a 2 litre tub and I'm happy with that because I'm the only one that eats vanilla ice cream in our house so I reckon this tub will last for ages.
