“ Brand: Yeo Valley / Type: Yoghurts / Food quality: Organic food „
Yeo Valley are a dairy produce manufacturer, and being based in the West Country they are local to me. I have a lot of respect for the brand as they are really forward-thinking with their practices, and everything is very eco-friendly. I love Greek yoghurt and this one is mixed with honey.
I bough my yoghurt from Tesco, where it is usually available at the price of £1.50 for a 450g tub, but at the moment it is on special offer costing £2 for 2 tubs, bargain. At full price it is only a little more expensive than other similar products, and I would pay the price because it is so delicious. And aside form the great taste you are getting a product that is organic, meeting the soil association's standards, and Yeo Valley have pledged to only use organic milk in their products. If this is something of importance to you I think you'd agree it's worth an extra few pennies.
Greek yoghurt is known for being thick and having a pure natural taste. This yoghurt is so thick and creamy it sticks to your spoon! It has a wonderful consistency and is really rich, with some extra sweetness coming from the honey. Both the milk and honey used in making this yoghurt are organic. It tastes incredibly fresh and is a lovely treat when the weather is warm. It is more-ish but if you eat too much I find it can become sickly. The generously sized tub will provide you with several portions. For an extra-nice treat you could add some chopped nuts or bits of muesli. It has quite a high saturated fat level, but if you only eat say 1/4 of a tub per portion this will still be a healthy snack.
