REALTRAVELLER Oradea: ... is a pleasant city in Romania, it is very close to Hungary and in fact, despite the fact that I have been working in Romania in the last 2 years, I went there from Budapest, although you can fly with Tarom from Bucharest. My reason for visiting Oradea was the wedding of one of my clients in Bucharest with a local girl. I went there on my own since my boyfriend could not make it. I flew to Budapest and spent t...

Destination International / Kalami has a pretty sand-and-shingle beach lapped by deep blue waters and backed by lush green hills of olive, cypress, orange and lemon trees. REALTRAVELLER Arad
... is a city in Romania not far from the border with Hungary. I visited Arad only on one occasion for business purposes since it is the city where the Headquarters of Banca Intesa are. I took a plane from Bucharest, the capital of Romania to Timisoara, which is 65 kilometres away from Arad. At the airport I rented a car, which I then used to go to Cluj (where Banca Transilvania is based) and then to Sibiu and Brasov and finally back to Bucharest in what was one of the the best business trips I ever had. I went to Arad in February and it was very cold. Due to my business schedule, I could not see too much of the city, and i literally managed to squeeze only a walkin...

REALTRAVELLER Varese (Italy)
... is a city of around 90,000 people in the North of Italy. It is situated 50 kilometres north of Milan and only 12-15 from the border with Switzerland. The region is hilly, the hills get lower the more you go towards Milan, while they become mountains if you go North. Varese used to be one of the richest cities in Italy because of the textile industries and the micro industries in its province, it still remains a well of part of Italy, but it lost a bit of the old splendour. It is a very pleasant city to visit, it is referred to as the Garden City because of the many green areas and large villas and has compact centre which can be easily explored in half a day on f...

fizzywizzy Trogir
... of the frustrating things about holidaying in Croatia is the very rigid ferry timetabling system that sees crossings to and from the islands seriously curtailed from the beginning of September. From September there are few crossings suitable for tourists wishing to make day trips to the islands closest to Split, with crossings concentrating on serving commuters rather than tourists. This year we d hoped to see an island we hadn t already been to but there were no crossings that would enable us to make a worthwhile day trip so we decided to take a bus trip instead. There are numerous interesting and picturesque destinations that make good day excursions from Split; w...
