Prague:
... chose Prague as a city break this October as I wanted to go somewhere short and in Europe, yet everyone was advising me to keep away from the Euro as the exchange rate was so bad. Unfortunately I learnt that even though the Czech Republic does not use the Euro, the exchange rate is still bad, and Prague is no longer the cheap place to go that it once used to be. Prague is only a short flight from London Gatwick, i... Read the full review: Overpriced by ktbainbridge |

Zambales (Philippines) ... is a hot and fairly undeveloped area of the Philippines, there are many costal areas. The most well known area is Subic and Olongapo, the former being home to a freeport zone where an American naval base used to be situated, the latter is where the locals live. 30 minutes away is another tourist area called Subic Bay which is a seaside town. Further north is Iba which has the best beaches in the province, but is not travelled to much by foreign tourists. It is an improvement on the Subic area in my opinion as the sand is lighter, water clearer and is much less crowded. Most of the other areas are seldom travelled to by tourists, except Mount Pinatubo on the bor... Read the full review: Not the best place in the Philippines, but don't write it off by mmayer99 |

Phnom Penh (Cambodia) ... Penh is the capital of Cambodia and is usually on the itinerary of anyone that visits the country. Most are drawn to the amazing Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, but the capital is certainly worth a look too. Like many I flew first to Siem Riep and decided I may as well see Phnom Penh too wilst in the country. There is a highly rated boat trip to get between the two cities along the Mekong River but I was there in dry season and told I would have to take a bus for most of the journey so I skipped it. Phnom Penh is a very poor city like all of Cambodia, this means too things, that things are extremely cheap, but also that you will see some extreme poverty. There are 2 curre... Slovakia ... - full name Slovak Republic - is one of the little known secrets of the New Europe . It lies right at the heart of Europe and until 1993 was part of Czechoslovakia, a name many people are more familiar with. Czechoslovakia was under Communist rule until 1989 after which it was dissolved into two separate states, events continued to progress until on the 1st January 1993 Slovakia and the Czech Republic went their separate ways and became two independent countries. Even though many British people know very little about Slovakia, Bratislava the capital lies less than 60km from the Austrian capital Vienna. In fact Vienna and Bratislava are supposedly the two close... Read the full review: Spectacular Slovakia by mikebaileyuk |
