Set off about midnight from Sharm, many hours on a bumpy road to Taba and the Israeli border, we are at the Taba border terminal about 5am, quite a surreal experience, steaming hot, takes a while to get through Israeli customs and then here is where the real journey begins. Driving through the desert in the early hours with the sun rising over Jordan and Saudi in the distance is amazing. Reach Ein Gedi but do not stop here. ... people who visit Israel, will try to take a trip to the Dead Sea, to experience the unique floating sensation that this site, the lowest point on Earth, offers. There are several places where you can stop, park and take a dip, and most of these are in the vicinity of hotels and spa treatment centres. This review is about one particular location for taking a dip! We travelled closer to the Northern end of the Dead Sea, not far from Ein Gedi, to take a dip in the salty waters at Mineral Beach.
