... first time I went to Center Parcs I was expecting something really naff along the lines of a cheesy Bultins holiday but I was completely surprised and had a great time. Arequipa, Peru ... is a Peruvian city in the far south of the country that is nestled 2380m above sea level in the Andes, about a half a day drive from the coast. John Fowler Holiday Parks ... major mistake of staying at john fowlers holidays st.ivesholiday village,I only wish i had taken photos of this abomination because my description wont do it justice. We arrived on 5/10/2009 to be confronted by a woodland silver chalet that i wouldn t have put my dog in. Upon complaining was given a vague excuse that the cleaners must have missed the mould damp peeling wallpaper-i could go on but you get the gist. Was upgraded to gold which wasnt much better but at least the wallpaper wasnt peeling of the walls. The whole site carries an air of decay ,i know its got a woodland setting but i didnt need mould and moss growing up the outside walls with the gutte... Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) ... a three month trip around South East Asia, I was desperate to visit Malaysia. We travelled up from Singapore on an overnight train which was interesting. We joked that this train was like the Hogwarts express, with its wooden frames. We were a little hungover from the evening before so dropped to sleep quite quickly, not realising that they wake everyone up after an hour to go through passport control (we probably should have realised that this would happen). I found the rest of the journey ok, but my friend was disturbed a lot by the train constantly stopping and starting, people boarding and alighting.
