Alberta (Canada) Reviews

Newest Review: ... the grand sounding Prince of Wales hotel. July23rd- As we drive around Glacier Park on our way to the Canadian boarder we become increasingly aware of the smell of smoke in the air. Visibility becomes limited and ash is evident on all surfaces. The journey to the nearest crossing point at Chief mountain pass takes all day. The scenery is breathtaking with views across the mountains at every turn. Even the children are quite and not fighting! Once over the boarder we stopped in a lay-by to take a picture of the huge Alberta sign and to have some much needed grub! The entrance to the park is about half an hours drive from the boarder .We pai... more

As a Ski destination Jasper has a lot to offer. The small and friendly town site is nestled in a most beutiful part of the rockies, Within Jasper National park. There is a good choice of good quality hotels which can be very cheep if booked on various special offers in winter, which is there quiet season. Jasper Park Lodge is a very good hotel. part of the Canadian Pacific chain, and is worth a visit from non guests to partake in cross country sking, or ice skating on one of the two frozen yet groomed lakes. Marmot Basin is a 20 min bus trip away and is an ideal resort for a cautious intermediate skier. The slopes are very wide and empty, and there are ... Read the complete review
