Newest Review: ... Amish just hang out, wearing clothes with no zippers, making cheese and handicrafts. They don't drive and most eschew electricity and things like rubber tires but many will give you money to give them a ride to an auction, they just can't go themselves. They don't have set churches or clergy, they just have community elders and meet or church on a rotating basis in their homes. Truthfully Harrison Ford's "Witness" was a pretty balanced view of these folks. So what do you do in Amish Country? Ah, I am going to praddle on about Amish country, the scent of fresh baked bread wafts through my mind and the taste of pure cheese dances into my soul. The spirit of freedom calls to me and the allure of stark individualism and freedom , a vacation away from our hectic busteling age beckon. Thing is, you gotta figure out where Amish country is.It is very vague, and generally just exists where there are lots of Amish or Mennonite people. But you have to be careful be cause they do migrate with land price fluctuations. But generally there are Amish areas in Pennsylvanis, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Iowa.
