Chengdu ... is a large Chinese city of well over 10 million people. It is located in Sichuan Province and although near the South Western border it is very much a central location. Chengdu is also a transit hub for Tibet with return flights leaving from Chengdu airport everyday, however these flights are disproportionately expensive compared with all other internal Chinese flights. Due to Chengdu s proximity to Tibet it has a large Tibetan Quarter in the City. This is a colourful area full of shops selling traditional Tibetan goods. Bangkok (Thailand) ... am a young male. I went to Thailand for what was meant to be around 2 weeks. I ended up staying for 2 months. Thailand is the only place on this plant I have been to that I can say with everything in my heart that it is paradise and a place that unfortunately is becoming westernized. The second I stepped off the plane in Bangkok airport I was surrounded by this immense feeling of humidity which felt like it consumed me slowly. Looking up I saw a bright blue sky with a couple of whisky clouds in the sky. It was 11:30am and after the 14hours to get here I was already feeling excited and filled with adrenaline. Kuredu Island Resort ... travelled to Kuredu Island resort in the Maldives in July 2006 for my honeymoon. It was absoultely amazing, the best holiday I have ever been on. I long to return. Please find a detailed breakdown of my experience below. The flight We flew from Gatwick airport with Monarch, luckily we upgraded our seat to premier economy which I would highly recommend to anyone traveling long haul with monarch. To say the ecomony seats are a little cramped would be an understatement for a 12 hour flight.
