I think I have written about every region of mainland Portugal and the island of Madeira. There is one Portuguese area that I haven't covered yet so seeing that I am still waiting for endless travel suggestions I will fill you in about the beautiful, peaceful islands of the Azores. Where are the Azores? In the mid Atlantic, on about the same latitude as Portugal's capital city, Lisbon. Although superficially the Azores seem a peaceful area beneath them the earth is in ferment as this is the joining point of four tectonic plates.
