BafoussamNewest Review: ... about the roads. Construction work is now underway for the building of the Muea to Kumba road. Most of the project is being sponsored by the European Union. Work is to be completed by the end of 2009 and hopefully the town will pick up again. There are good schools in the town. Cameroon College of Arts and Science, the school that I attended is one of them. There is a Government Technical School just close by the above mention institution. Inside the town itself, you would find, PSS Kumba, St Francis Secondary School Kumba, CCC kumba and Frank Harcourt High School Kumba, all institutions that would prepare you for University entrance ex... more |

Kumba is a town found in the South West Province of the Republic of Cameroon. It is the capital of Meme Division as well as the commercial capital of the whole of South West Province. The town has been dormant now for some time due to the poor roads that leads to the city. This has led the people of such towns as Tiko, Limbe and Buea to go to Douala instead to due a lot of the shopping that could have been done it kumba. In the early 1980s the road leading into the town was tarred but after that no maintenance was done and the roads got to the state that it was very depressing to visit the place.
