A developing area (Biloxi)

Advantages: Tourist attractions are married together with real life America, casinos galore

Disadvantages: Need to drive, not designed for tourism so spread out, expensive accomodation as casino based

Biloxi is a town within the state of Mississippi which has seen development and investment increasing over recent years thanks to itself and its surrounding areas seeing an increase in the quality and amount of casino developments.
When I have visited Biloxi (about 2 or 3 occassions now) I have stayed with family so I am not able to offer much in the way of feedback on hotels on offer but I do know that there are a number of places to stay with a couple of hotels in the area and the casinos also offering quality accomodation.
Biloxi offers casinos, shops, restaurants, fast foods and more but if you are visiting here you will need to be able to drive as this is not designed as other tourist destinations are in that everything is spaced out over quite a large distance.
The casinos are excellent and offer well priced drinks and food as well as gambling opportunities until your hearts content. They are all well placed with most on the edge of the gulf waters edge and offering good parking amongst other things.
The road systems in and around Biloxi are well designed and maintained and so offer you a nice and normally fairly direct way to your destination.
So is it worth going to Biloxi?

Positives:

- True to life way of life for tourists to see
- Good variety of things to do both in Biloxi and also surrounding area
- A clean and well maintained town
- Casinos galore with different themes for each
- Gulf waters offers you the chance to go out on the waters for a day out

Negatives:

- Not as much variety as other tourist destinations
- You need to be able to drive to get around
- Activities are spaced out as this was not designed as a tourist area but is fast becoming one

If you are looking for somewhere to go where you see the real life American life you see on telly (the American sat in a rocker on the porch with his gun) then this offers you that experience along with tourist attractions nearby.

Summary: Not a tourist designed town but fast devloping into one it offers variety but is not top of the list
