If one is lucky enough to visit the beautiful country of Iceland, I recommend a visit to the exquisite Blue lagoon. As far as I am aware, the only way to get there is via car, which takes around 40 minutes from Reykjavic city centre. The entrance fee for adults is currently 20 Euros, children under 13 are free as long as they are accompanied and concessions are at 7 Euros.
The site hosts not only the lagoon but also a cafe, bar and dining experience. A short walk from the lagoon, around 5 minutes, there is also accomodation available.

The Blue lagoon is a unique place that I have never imagined and is unlike any other place I have ever been. The drive on the journey to the site is breathtaking with scenery that leaves one speechless.

It is a sight that one does not expect, yet nonetheless does not disappoint. The blue lagoon itself is an experience that one does not forget. The warmth of the lagoon and the feel of the salty sandy underlay that touches ones feet, a spa outside that is extremely unique with its smell and surroundings. The spa has health benefits, both external and internal. The salty seawater that cleanses the skin and the environment that allows one to relax and forget about all the worries and stresses of normal life outside of the spa. If only every country could have such an exquisite lagoon. Although that would take away the magic that is the Blue lagoon.
