Terras do Sado (Portugal):
... Terras do Sado or sometimes known as the Setubal Peninsula is an area to escape to when visiting Lisbon and you feel the need to get away from the city to be with nature. The Sado and Tagus estuaries are two of the richest areas for wetland birds in Portugal, and places of tranquility for bird enthusiasts from all over the world. Situated along the peninsula s south coast is the Parque Natural da Arribida. Here,... Read the full review: Home of the Moscatel grape and the wild polecat by Praskipark |

Madras ... actually went to Madras for my sisters wedding so my sightseeing was fairly limited yet I aim to write about not just the place but the life and culture. It is situated in south India and is a very large city with a very large polulation. I got a sense of this by looking at the clustered traffic and incessant tooting of horns, coupled with the fact that it seems risking your life and crossing the road go hand in hand. I saw two completely different sides to the place in terms of shopping, half of it was as we know and love shops over here, very modern and full of big brand names. Then there were the street stores in which bartering with the shop keepers was common pla... Read the full review: Chennai calling by BathBlue |

Cameron Highlands (Malaysia) ... awoke at 7:30am in humid heat another day in sweltering Malaysia, and then I was told today we are going to Cameron highlands. The trip to Cameron highlands was about 2 hours from the city of Kuala Lumpur and as you ascend up the highlands around the twisty winding road the view is spectacular. The air gets a lot cooler and I found myself wishing I had my jumper. It was welcome though after the heat of Kuala Lumpur. We stopped near a water fall and got some brilliant pictures. Then was told we were only half way. The only way to get right to the top is by cable car. We parked up and got on the cable car which I have to say went up pretty steep. It was about 15 minutes b... Marrakech (Morocco) ... stay in Marrakech. I had a special birthday coming up and my Mum said she would treat me to a holiday. Lucky me! Descisions, descisions - where to go? I eventually decided upon Morocco as it is one of three destinations I wanted to go to in my life, and the furthest - with finances being as they are in this credit crunch, it may have been a while before I got the chance again. Me, and my two sisters booked the trip for May as July, my birthday, was deemed too hot for an unseasoned traveller like me. There were no partners or kids invited, just a good old fashioned girly weekend - heaven!!! It was to be a four night long weekend. It cost approximately £450, with...
