Staying in Bocas on a budget, I'd recommend Mondo Taitu - it's clean, owned by two lads who have packed up from their respective countries and living a better quality life - rooms are clean and there is a great atmosphere there. If you are single, and especially a female, it is a good place to head to, to meet people. Bocas del Torro is Amazing - but I didn't find it as great as some other more renowned places through Central America - such as Roatan, Utila (Honduras) or Caye Caulker (Belize)... Scuba diving is great but don't go there during July/August - the visibility quality isn't that great! (Far better places to scuba dive in Honduras!) If you are to travel anywhere in your life, GO TO BOCAS DEL TORO, those images of a tranquil beach lying in a hammock and sipping a Pina Colada can be a reality. I Went to Panama last year on a four week expedition to Costa Rica and Panama being next door was our obvious choice for diving and relaxing. So flying into San Jose airport, which is an experience in itself as for some reason the planes (or our plane at least) liked to do summersaults in the turbelence, but dont let this put you off. I'd recommend staying in San Jose (or Panama city) for the night as the trip across the canal is an adventure to say the least, that and its the last McDonalds ...  Read the complete review
