Newest Review: ... day we took a ride on a boat out to Christianso, a small island 18km northeast of Bornholm, two other small islands are next to it - Fredrikso (connected by a small footbridge) and Graesholm (just a small bird reserve), the nature here is wonderful, we came across quite a lot of different species. The fortress is quite impressive but several hours on the island (which has a mere population of 98) was enough. It's definitely worth the day-trip though. Christianso has acted as a naval base for several hundred years. Bornholm is a bit of a hidden gem, sunshine island they call it in Denmark... still, I guess that's not really saying much! Having spent the night travelling across Poland to get up to Kolobrzeg and spending the last 5 hours of the journey either standing up, leaning against the wall next to the toilet or fiddling around with a crap rafting game on my mobile phone. (The train was jam packed full of people heading to the coast for their summer holidays you see.) I was ready for a sleep.
