Advantages: Actually really quite British but very sunny

Disadvantages: Quite a lot of traffic on the beach road

If it's sandy beaches you want then this isn't for you as all of the breaches are rocky. I actually quite liked this though as you can walk over large flat rocks to get into the lovely clear sea without any annoying sand getting over you!

Bugibba is set along the sea front but does have quite a busy road running between the sea and the shops, restaurants etc. Our hotel was on the sea front which was nice as long as you ignored all the lorries driving past inbetween our balcony and the beach!

There are an abundance of shops and restaurants in the main part of town and we found it very pleasant. There is also a beach funfair and casinos. The casinos are worth a visit just for the fabulous air conditioning when the weather gets too hot.

It is well worth hiring a car though to get out and about to see the other things the island has to offer. It is also possible to jump on an old English bus at a bargin price but as the buses are all about 50 years old and the busdrivers are all a little crazy it can be quite an unusual experience.

Well worth a visit.

Summary: I'd be more than happy to return here
