Cala Bona is more suited to couples wanting a quiet realaxing break with the trip into Cala Millor for a little more entertainment... Transfer time from the airport to Cala Bona Resort is approx 2 hrs long. There is a stables nr to resort called Rancho Willy, The shortest ride they offer is about 1.5 hrs and costs about £20.... it is a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the resort and head into the majorcan countryside. There is also glass bottom boats available from resort too - the captain usually stops for about 30 - 45 mins to allow tour... more

Cala Bona is not a purpose built tourist resort, but a small fishing village that has started to cater for more of the islands tourists. There a re still little narrow streets in the town and an actual working harbour - small but working nonetheless. There is many open air bars & cafes dotted down the little quaint streets, and caters more for the bristish than german tourists. Cala Bona is a beautiful resort and has a few small andy beaches, although they are usually covered in seaweed - but the council have now put in a team to clean the beaches and get rid of it all. Cala Bona sits on the East Coast of Majorca. It is the most northerly of a triumvirate of similar but subtely different resorts. Immediately to the south of Cala Bona is Cala Millor, indeed the two resorts blend seemlessly together with the promenade joined and no gap between the large fairly non-descript hotels that impose themselves on the otherwise pleasane seaside views. (The only way of telling the two resorts apart rests on the presence of a fish motif on the pavement - the saying goes - "fish on the floor ... Cala Millor ... fish a gonna ... Cala Bona").
