Advantages: Relaxing, very pretty resort

Disadvantages: Fairly Quiet,

Cala Bona is not a purpose built tourist resort, but a small fishing village that has started to cater for more of the islands tourists. There a re still little narrow streets in the town and an actual working harbour - small but working nonetheless. There is many open air bars & cafes dotted down the little quaint streets, and caters more for the bristish than german tourists. Cala Bona is a beautiful resort and has a few small andy beaches, although they are usually covered in seaweed - but the council have now put in a team to clean the beaches and get rid of it all.
The bars are not rowdy at all, quite the opposite really!
Cala Millor is the neighbouring resort which is a little more lively. Cala Bona is more suited to couples wanting a quiet realaxing break with the trip into Cala Millor for a little more entertainment...
Transfer time from the airport to Cala Bona Resort is approx 2 hrs long.

There is a stables nr to resort called Rancho Willy, The shortest ride they offer is about 1.5 hrs and costs about £20.... it is a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the resort and head into the majorcan countryside.
There is also glass bottom boats available from resort too - the captain usually stops for about 30 - 45 mins to allow tourists to jump off the boat and swim in the sea - absolutely great, and remember to take your goggles too, plenty of fish to see.
A zoo is nearby too - you can take the mini train around the zoo and see the monkeys, giraffes, zebra, elephants and loads of other animals too. There is a courtesy bus that collects people from Cala Bona which leaves regularly throughout the day, admission into the zoo is a good price, approx 10 euros per adult and 7 for children.
Cala Bona is definately not for the 18 - 30 group! The resort is more suited to a quieter kind of tourist. A very picturesque resort, a perfect for the relaxing getaway, for someone wanting quiet lazy days by the beach and romantic little restaurants and cafe bars to enjoy.
If I think of anything else, I will be sure to add it to this review.

Summary: A small working fishing town that has become a quiet little tourist resort
