Advantages: Focused towards British holidaymakers
Disadvantages: Neighbouring resort - Arenal is German 18 - 30s...
C'an Pastilla is located on the south coast of Majorca / Mallorca - and the transfer time from the airport to resort is just 20 minutes!
One small problem though with the resort being so close to the airport - and that is the aircraft noise that you will most definately hear - but for those that enjoy plane watching, its ideal... you can sit on the beach and watch the planes land and take off several times throughout the day.
The town dates back to the 1960s, it was just a fishing village, but began to adapt to the tourist boom - and still many buildings and hotels date back to this period.
C'an Pastilla consists of not much more than a narrow main street and a small parish church - there is a very picturesque harbour which is home to many yachts and leisure craft.
The town is built at the western end of a 2.5 miles stretch of beach - and is joined by a promenade to the neighbouring resort of Arenal.
For those that are not aware - Arenal is very popular with German 18 - 30s groups, and has all night clubs and bars that do not close before the sun rises. The german tourism has been overflowing from Arenal for sometime, but has not quite yet reached C'an Pastilla - but it may not be long before it does.
At the moment C'an Pastilla still remains a British Resort - and is most likely to suit those wanting Sun, Sea, Sand and a PG Tips Cuppa.
On a more positive note, the beach is very popular and shelves gently into the sea - making a nice spot for young families. There are a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars on the promenade and offering nice food, and the odd bar offering live music too.
This resort is not ideal for those wanting a typical Majorcan village, it is aimed at the British - but if you want to spend your days with the British tourists and party until the early hours with the German tourists - then this resort is perfect for you!
If I think of any thing else, I will be sure to add it to this - thanks for taking the time to read my review, I hope you enjoyed it!
Summary: British - but probably not for much longer
