C'an PicafortNewest Review: ... in such a german influenced place. The promenade is traffic free and very pedestrianised - with some lovely open front bars & restaurants lining the walk leading to marina & fishing harbour. The more modern area is called Son Baulo - and is approx 2 km away from the resort to the east. The best beaches in the area are actually in Son Baulo - and there is also a protected nature reserve too. Although very nice - please be aware there is a large pool with stagnant water and is home to less protected species. C'an Picafort lies in the north east of Majorca/Mallorca and is the eastern end the Bay of Alcudia. Transfer time to C'an Picafort is approx 1.5 hours - but is a pretty muich straightforward route and once off the motorway you'll pass a few little villages to have a nosy at! The area that C'an Picafort is apart of is called Santa Margalida - and the town of Santa Margalida itself lies approx 10km inland - and you will usually pass through this on your transfer to the hotel.
