Advantages: Subtropical Swimming Paradise , Cocktail Hour , Staff
Disadvantages: Going Home , Riding the bikes up the steep hill!
We first went 2 sherwood forest in 2002 because Elveden decided it would burn down!! We loved everything about it...especially the "helpful staff" (Luke, Matt, Brent, Paul, Jason n Jeff hehe!) ;-)......so in 2003 we went back there again, even though it was a 3 1/2 hour trip from our hometown of London.
Unlike Elveden, it's not all under one roof, and many of the facilities are outside, including the restaurants. A lot of it is quite expensive, but one hot destination 2 visit is La Sapiniere the french restaurant, where a rice cake is considered a BIG meal!! There's a man playing a piano, providing some interesting entertainment for the night and always appreciates a round of applause after each song :-)......
The Subtropical Swimming Paradise is at a constant exotic temperature of 26 degrees celsius all year round and features regular waves 2 the sound of Tarzan's call n gorgeous jacuzzi's overlooking the whole of the main pool. There's also the amazingly fun but sometimes quite painful rapids! You need to make sure you haven't got anything loose on ur person because its likely to get lost. You may also gain a few bruises at some point from the rapids, but still they are so much fun! Beware however, if you are wearing a bikini, as you come down the rapids there are cameras, and much to the amusement and delight of many of the male lifeguards, my friend lost her bikini top in the process of coming down the rapids!!
At night, there isn't a gr8 deal to do, the pool closes at 10pm but there is a mini disco in the bar, along with cocktail hour (the barman give u a free drink after your 5th cocktail!)...
All in all, despite the trek from home, we were sad to leave because we have so many great memories there...AN EXCELLENT HOLIDAY FOR ALL THE FAMILY!!! We'll b going back again in August 2005!!

- 28/11/04 Hi, welcome to dooyoo - I am one of the guides for the travel category, which means I am here to help out with writing travel reviews. This was a nice first review, but I think there are a couple of thing you could do to improve it. Firstly, imagine you are a potential customer for the location you are writing about, and think about what you would want to know. Where is it? How much does it cost? What facilities are there? Is ti good value for money? When is a good time to go? The other point I want to make is that I would discourage writing in texting language, as readers who don't text will find it annoying and confusing when they try to read your review. :-)

- 28/11/04 At the risk of sounding boring and like a parrot - welcome to dooyoo!
A pretty good first opinion but there was so much more you could have included. Have a look round the site to get a general idea of the kind of standard of review here and which ones attract the higher ratings and more reads. Good luck!
