Advantages: Lots to do for all ages - you will never get bored!!

Disadvantages: You'll need lots of money

Centre Parcs - Whinfell Forest

We have just returned from this fantastic place, we have a 10 month old baby and found everything and everyone so child friendly. The creche is amazing, we had never left our baby like this before, he had a great time. The staff are excellent and even give you a written report of your babies day. We left him there one morning for 3 hours (£18) so that we could head off on the adult Quad biking trek at the nearby Greystoke Castle - again this experience was truly amazing. (£55), Well worth the money. Be prepared to spend alot of money if you book any activities, they are expensive but in my opinion definatly worth it. We also did the intermediate pony trek (£26)which again was really good fun.

Our accomodation was the Comfort 2 bed forest lodge, everything that we needed, clean and tidy. We stayed in the Fell View area, this was close to the village centre and sports plaza. We were out most of the time so didnt spend an awful lot of time in our lodge. We ate breakfast and lunch in our accomodation most days as we had a grocery pack pre-booked waiting for us on arrival.

We hired mountain bikes and a trailor for our little one, we used them every day of our stay (£78 for 2 bikes and a trailor, £30 refunded deposit), great way of getting around. Bit sore on the bum if your not used to cycling!

We ate out everynight, Indian restaraunt the best with the chinese a close second, italian very nice but a little disappointed with the food in Lakeside inn. Tip- book your table in advance as restaraunts can get very busy.

The sub tropical paradise pool was such a great place, the kids will love it. Can be really busy on the first morning (10am) after arrival, you will struggle to find a changing cubicle. Wait until later in the day or hold off another day as everyone seems desperate to go swimming straight away. Our next visit wasnt so busy. You can spend the whole day here, heaps to keep everyone entertained - flumes, slides, waves, all different pools. Great fun.

Absolutely no complaints, in fact we have booked again for next year.

Summary: Absolutely the best type of holiday for families of all ages.

Nice to see you included plenty of personal opinion and factual information. As a tip, it helps to write offline in Word so you can spell check your review before copying it over to dooyoo - it helps avoid the typos.
