Great time at Whinfell (Center Parcs)

Disadvantages: nearly getting knocked over by rude people on bikes

Just got back from a weekend break at whinfell forest,we were 2 couples sharing one lodge. Everything was great on arrival, the lodge was basic but enough just for the 3 nights.

The first night we arrived we went to Rajinda pradesh for a meal. On arrival one of the managers asked us rudely if we had booked, which we had not due to just arriving. We stated that we hadn't and were greeted with a grunt. We were seated and found that our waitress was someone who could not even understand english and did not smile at all! Needless to say the food wasnt up to much, left feeling disappointed.

During the day we did several leisure activities all of which have to be pre-booked as it can get busy especially at weekends.

On our second night we ate out at the chinese. This restaurant looks amazing and we were greeted by smiling friendly staff which was a relief after the previous night. The menu is limited but we really enjoyed the whole experience there, staff were great seemed to enjoy working there and trying their best to look after all the guests. Most of the places we ate at or just had drinks the staff were great. I cant understand why some people have mentioned that they are not, maybe they just treat people as they are being treated, I really dont know.

The best thing overall has to be the Aqua Sana it is absolutely fantastic and prices are very reasonable. Its a must do. Its a great way to destress. We used it 3 times while we were there!

Anyone thinking of going to Whinfell forest, you will have a great time.
