Disabled party treated callously (Center Parcs)
Member Name: Patricia
Advantages: good facilities Disadvantages: as summarised I have never been so worried in my life. My disabled son who had a head injury, coma, is now wheelchair bound permanently was taken to Elvedon Forest by his day centre. They were due to leave on the morning of widespread snow all over the UK . Centre Parcs said they had to get out of their chalet and they were hassled by security guards who said they could sleep on the floor of the conference room but they MUST get out.The national press and tv were contacted. After a relative speaking to a top member of centre parcs in their head office my son and the others were grudgingly allowed to stay until it was safe to drive. This is disgraceful, the treatment they received was appalling and callous, it was all about money and not the safety of those to whom they owed a duty of care. Summary: callous and disgraceful to disabled guests |
