Great holiday place for everyone (Center Parcs)

Advantages: So much to see and do.

Disadvantages: Very pricey

My family and I have been going to Centre Parcs now for about 8 years. We always go in the weeks just following Christmas as it is the cheapest and probably the quietest period of the year.

I cannot give you exact prices as it varies from Park to Park from accomodation to accomodation and other circumstances. We go to Longleat and we generally pay about £360 for the Executive Villa which sleeps 6 people in style. All the accomodation is set in wonderful woodlands with some rare plants and wildlife.

Once you are inside the parc everything you need is there - at a price. There is a wide selection of restaurants and cafes dotted about the complex- Sports bars, French restaurant , Tapas bars, Indian restaurant etc. There is a shop and supermarket so that you can get anything that you have forgotten, but I warn you, it will cost you!

You will find sports facilities to suit every taste. If like me, you don't want to do anything more strenous than watch the children swimming while you read a book that is fine. If you want Archery, Row, Cycling, Horse Riding, hiking ... the list goes on and on, you will find it here .

The piece de resistance is the Aqua Sana spa centre. It is so good that it is sometimes mentioned in good spa guides. Once again it will cost you, but it is well worth it.

Before you arrive, they will send you a very good information pack so that you can plan your activites before you go. You can work out how much it will cost you atthe same time.

So save up, book and go. Who ever you are, what ever you do, you'll love it.
