Good for a short break (Center Parcs)

Advantages: Everything you need in a small area

Disadvantages: Costly once you get there

As a young couple unable to afford a holiday abroad this year we settled on a holiday at the Longleat Centerparcs. We booked into a one bed villa for a mid-week break (Monday to Friday). On arrival we checked in which was a very smooth process and we immediately drove our car to the villa in order to unpack. Once the car was unpacked my boyfriend drove the car back to the car park (you can't have your car on sire unless you are disabled) whilst I put our stuff away.

The villa was a very nice size with a living area which contained a corner sofa, a coffee table, a stereo, a television and a DVD player. The living room is open plan to a dining room and a kitchen area which had a dishwasher, an oven, a hob, a fridge/freezer, a toaster, a kettle and plenty of cupboard space. Our villa had a daily maid service that would do the dishes and empty the bin for us. The bedroom was a reasonable size with a double bed (cot if needed) and a television, it had a en suite bathroom with a hydro-bath and a separate shower. The villa also had a separate toilet.

The village itself has a wide selection of activities available at an extra cost. The only free activity is the pool which has a variety of slides and pool areas to entertain you. The plaza contains a selection of shops and restaurants including the Parcmarket where you can buy groceries. The Village Square also has a selection of restaurants and a take-away which will deliver.

The break was enjoyable although I wouldn't classify it as a proper holiday.
