Advantages: very very entertaining
Disadvantages: very knackering!
I had visited centre parcs in various locations across the country as a child and remember it being absolutely brilliant!
As an adult and parent myself years later we went camping to Wiltshire and visited Longleat and it poured down all week and we made a promise that next year we would go and stay at centre parcs!
We rang up as we had a code from the paper to give discount and the guy on the phone attually said he had a better code we could use and we ended up getting a 4 bedroom chalet at a very good price - we got 4 bedroom as we were going 50/50 with another friend and his wife and 2 kids so it worked out at just under £200 each for 5 days.
When we got there it was a bit manic as people were arriving but also departing and it was very busy.
Our chalet was absolutely lovely it about half way of the scale of choice (the nicer the chalet the more expensive!) so we were very impressed with what we got for our money. The decor was modern and beautiful and lots of mod cons eg, flatscreen and posh sofa.
We were lucky to get a good location not to far from main plaza as after a few days we found the site was alot bigger then we realised!
There was so much to do you cant possibly do everything in just 5 days or weekend break!
We ended up booking the kids into various activites such as teddys picnic, fairy fun time, making activies, story times and they had lots of fun but they were quite pricey.
We also spent alot of time in the famous swimming pool with wave machine and rapids slides etc as well as bowling and playing tennis.
You can travel around the site by bike - either using your own from home or hiring. There are pods for the children too, this was a lot of fun for both adults and children!
We loved the take-away delivery service and the on site babysitters! There is everything you could need or hope for on site.
Everything is very expensive and I would say rather then use the on site shop for food (which is rediculous!!) definatly worth either bringing from home or shopping in Asda down the road first!
Very fun and action packed holiday - we were shattered and in bed by 9pm every night! Highly reccomended but is very costly.
Oh and we didnt have time to go to Longleat in the end!!
Summary: great hol start saving!
