Advantages: No cars! Loads of activites for all ages, brilliant swimming pool! Nice cosy villas, great for all ages, friednly staff, basically EVERYTHING!
Disadvantages: A little exepnsive but worth it!
Other opinions on Center Parcs all said that it was very expensive. Well I think it was worth it. In fact, I've been 6 times! And although it is a little pricey, you can't buy fun! There are so many things to do at Center Parcs and whether you go for 2 days or 2 weeks, you won't want to leave! ARRIVING I go to Elveden Forest in Nottingham and as soon as you get there you can feel the excitement. There are many different types of tress surrounding the village, which are always green. There are lots of animals in the village too including squirrels, deers and one time, there was a warning about a snake roaming the village!! (I think they found it before it did any harm though). When you get there you must go to the Reception desk and ask for your villa key. Then you must drive to your villa, unpack, drive back to the car park, then go back to the villa!! Hectic stuff! You can hire a bike, which about 70% of the people do there for as long as you want. It's expensive, but is the best way to get around as cars are band on the roads unless you are arriving or leaving. ACCOMONDATION The villas can consist of up to 8 people or you can just stay in the apartments called Sheridan near Reception. There is a kitchen, at TV with Sky channels, a fire place, a bathroom with a jacuzzi inside, a toilet, a small patio which leads to the lake (if you are lucky enough to get a villa like that) and a storage room which has a cot, a vacuum etc. There is a small corridor when you come in the villa for shoes and coats. ACTIVITIES There are lots of activities for all ages to do. These include: swimming at the Sub Tropical Swimming Paradise, (It is AMAZING there you can spend your whole holiday there!) indoor and outdoor football, indoor and outdoor tennis, indoor and outdoor badminton, mini golf, golf, ten pin bowling, watersports, archery, table tennis, aerobics, HUNTING (ha ha just kidding about the hunting! lol) a
nd many more for children, including a park and a nursery! THE DOME You must book and pay for these activites in advance and most of them are in the Dome. The Dome is a huge dome where everything is situated. All the sports (except outdoor ones) are played there and it is the home of the Sub Tropical Swimming Paradise. This swimming pool is like no other. It has about 6 jaccuzis, a huge main pool with waves every 30 minutes, a childrens pool, two food places, a sauna (book in advance) and of course, slides and rapids!! SHOPS AND FOOD Also in the Dome are all the shops and restaurnts. The shops are called: Childs Play (Recently changed its name to Treehouse) which is a toy shop, the supermarket, a sports shop, a gift shop and more. There are many restaurants, which include a Pancake House which serves the BEST pancakes ever! There is laos an American one (which really fills you up!) and many more. I must admit that the prices in the Dome for food and shopping is quite high though so you have been warned! KIDS If you have any kids who are going with you to Center Parcs, as I have said above, there are many things for them to do. They can hire bikes too, with stabilisers. There is a park and lots of play areas around the village. Also there is a nursery where they can make friends and play around whilst you are swimming or relaxing! If they are bored in the villa you can even hire board games from the reception! RELAXING If you are not the active types and simply want to relax, you can go to the sauna in the swimming pool. Here you can stay as long as you want during the day and there are two steam rooms, a FREEZING cold plunge pool, an underwater bar and more. On Wednesdays, you can take your children to the sauna too. (Under 16s) OVERALL Overall, Center Parcs is probably the best holiday village you will find in the UK, and although it is a little expensive, you will have so much f
un, you’ll book your next holiday before you even leave!
