Advantages: A real break.clean, tidy & very safe for the family., outdoor activities, good entertainment
Disadvantages: expensive, Longleat is too hilly.
I know it's meant for families, but it's also lovely to be with your other half, relaxing in the jacuzzi in the executive suits, cycling through the forest on the quiet roads (cars are only permitted between certain times on certain days!) & the best thing was swimming outside in the (very) heated pool & smelling the pine of the trees surrounding the place. That smell of sweet pine will live with me forever. There are plenty of restaurants in the parc, catering for many different tastes. The prices inside the parc are resonable for food, but i thought it was a little naughty for them to charge extra for sun beds & water activities when it's pretty expensive to go anyway. The rooms/suits were exceptionally clean & comfortable, including huge "double" beds, fully fitted kitchens, & rerally nothing had been forgotten, (except the washing up liquid i forgot !). There was an open fire in the executive suite & special logs were available from the shop. Prices again were competetive & the shop had little trollies for the children to push round. The pool was wonderful, clean changing rooms & coloured s afety jackets that the children wear in the p ool. they were different colours for different ages of children so the life gaurds could spot the children who were the wrong ages for certain areas of theh pool. Highly recommended !!!

- 17/10/02 A big welcome to dooyoo from me too, sillylally - great name! - Fishbulb is right though, it would be lovely if you included a bit more detail about the one you stayed at. If you do update let me know as I would love to come back and read some more. |

- 10/10/02 Sounds lovely, but which one did you visit? Was it busy? What IS included for the price? What may be 'reasonable' pricing to you may be cheap/expensive to someone else so go into a little more detail.
I still think that for £500 I'd rather get a flight to Europe though! In fact, myself and Mr Fishbulb got flights to Boston for less than that!
Welcome to DooYoo - have fun! Fishbulb >><>?™ |

- 10/10/02 Hi, welcome to Dooyoo. This needs a quite bit more information such as location, general prices, booking information and range of activities on offer hence my low rating. Don't be discouraged though and go for it.
Good luck and enjoy yourself here! |
