Sherwood forest-excellent (Center Parcs)
Member Name: smilenow
Advantages: lots to do, swimming pool and spa, helpfull staff Disadvantages: can be expensive, having to come home
Where do i start? well me and a friend decided we wanted to go away for a short break so we decided center parcs sounded a good idea, and we were not wrong. We arrived at lunch time and although it was busy we managed to find a parking space right away. So off we went exploring, first stop was the bike hire shop and am i glad we hired bikes, its a big village! Then we decided to explore the center of the village, which is where the swimming pool is situated along with shops, restaurants and bars. It all looked impressive. By now we had started to avoid cars as it came to the time of day of moving a weeks worth of belongings to the villa. It actully wasn't to bad, not as bad as i thought anyway. We had already pre booked some of our activities so we didn't have to bother booking anymore untill the following day. Some of the activities we decided to opt for were the spa, we had 3 hours of pure bliss and relaxation, a tip better to do this in an evening as we didn't want to do anything afterwards!! We also took part in archery, climbing and laser clay shooting, all good fun. We also did badminto and squash (never again)!!! The swimming pool was a good free activity (the only one), well i nearly lost my friend in the rapids although shes a good swimmer-another tip hold onto loose articles and children!! We ate out everynight but one, it was resonably priced but could be expensive if a big family. My fav place for a snack is the pancake house. We enjoyed it so much we are going back in Sept and if you book within a moth of leaving your last break you get 15% off the price. Bargin!!! Summary: |
