Advantages: Lots of Choice, Great service all round, Pre-booking saves time

Disadvantages: The car park is hell!, Could be expensive for a family

My partner and I have just returned from a mid week break at Longleat forest... we both had a fantastic time!

We stayed in a one bedroom executive apartment and would strongly recommend investing in the VIP package to go alongside it - it costs a bit more but the benefits of checking in at 1pm as opposed to 3pm and avoiding car park hell make that money well worthwhile. You also get some day passes for guests and the ability to pre-book your activities 2 weeks earlier... which is vital if you want to plan quite a few things as we did! The accomodation was great - fantastic views and the housekeeping service was superb.

The best thing we did all week was a session in the Aqua Sana (another benefit of prebooking this (Monday's only) is that it was really quiet on the session we attended and we saved some money! Combined with this I had a gorgeous aromatheraphy massage (which was the same price as high street salons)

We found the restaurants were often busy early evening, and as we don't have children ourselves we soon found that eating later avoids the busier (and noiser) periods. I would strongly recommend the Chez Pierre restaurant for decent food and a great ambience. We also tried Huckleberry's and Luciano's - both were decent quality at high street prices.

Having read a few other reviews, personally, I was expecting the parc to be really expensive - however, most restaurants are high street prices, though we did fine wine by the glass quite expensive at £4.50 (best of buying a bottle!)

We enjoyed it so much we have already booked to return next year!
